Yes! Got my ram upgraded!

Now my com runs faster than Forest Gump. Slow poke Photoshop takes like 7 secs to start up now compared to the 10 years it took last time.
iTunes starts in 3 sec! 3 sec, even with PS running. No more spinning lollipops of doom or frozen screens.
Best part is the 2 gb ram price. It's only $72!!!!!
That's like dirt cheap compared to what they sell at the Apple shop. When i asked the guy there how much for a 2gb ram stick they whacked me with a $600 price tag!
I ran out before they could rape my wallet.

Now, where did i get that $72 2gb apple ram with life-time warranty?

This very nice shop called Questek.
The receptionist was also uber pretty. And they had a cute fountain in their office. So go there to get affordable, good memory and stuff instead of snobbish Apple store manned only by cardboard looking guys who like to reel off astronomical prices with a bland smile.

Cube

Ever wondered why we joined Digital design instead of Industrial?

That's cos we don't want to hold a stupid saw, of course. And that's what this assignment required of me. And a drill. And some screwdrivers. Grrrr....
I sat on the storeroom floor for 3 days to make the cube that looked really easy in theory but was an absolute bugger in real life.

Anyway, if you want to make a cube like that, these are the materials you'll need.

When i tried to coil the wire for the spring, it sprang loose and cut my knuckle and my eye. Terrific.
My knuckle bled a bit, i didn't know it until the blood dripped onto my precious box!! Fortunately i managed to get most of it off. The remaining spot i intend to add petals around it and turn it into a flower. Yay. See? Genius me.

life goes on

Yesterday i went to MS's house to play guncon games.
In particular, a relatively unknown thing like Vampire Night.
The game was really short (abt 30 mins to reach the last boss), shorter, if i counted MS's sister helping me out with a 2nd gun. We were shooting like lunatics at the TV screen, and both earned accuracy-percentage ratings of a bit more than double our shoe sizes.

The casualties after the game were a few hundred vampires, 4 ugly-looking bosses, all the villagers we were supposed to save, 2 bloodied fingers (from shooting & reloading) and 3 broken ribs from trying not to laugh at how unspeakably bad the voice acting and movie cut-scenes were.

If you thought Time Crisis 2/3's cut-scenes and dialogs were borderline cheesy, Vampire Night's ones are so outrageously done you should play it just to experience how atrocious in-game cinema can get. Absolutely hilarious.

Hmmm... Now that school has started, my life hasn't taken a turn for the worse. Yet. I can't believe i'm getting Mr Edwin for my drawing teacher. I didn't even know he teaches that subject. But he's okay....... Better than what i could have gotten ....

Fried Mars Bars

'Fr•i-ed 'M•a•rs Ba-rs

Description:
[noun] A sweet, mostly always brown fried candy bar coated in batter. Usually eaten with ice cream and a waves of guilt. An excellent source of cholesterol, fat and sugars.
The wikipodia eatery menu provides an excellent list of where you can obtain the best fried mars bars on earth and the places you may go to rehabilitate afterwards.
So, after the impossible success of my... ahem... eclairs, I have decided to try make something simpler and more unhealthy.
Also, I'm a big fan of Chippy's and thus am more likely to die 20 years sooner than most of you.
The batter process is actually pretty simple. Just milk, flour and baking soda. The frying process is much harder, mainly because it involves frying something. Which i can't do without getting popping hot oil all over my hands.

Anyway, here are the results of my hard work and impossible genius.

I will grudgingly include my brother, Matthew, in my credits for the 3rd try because he looked at my first few attempts and said it looked atrocious and helped me redo the batter and fry the 3rd batch.

He is, of course, wrong. There is nothing wrong with my cooking. Period.
It's just that he heated the oil better than me. Heh heh.

Anyway, he is all gushy and stuff about this new place in Kovan CC. Says it serves the most bang-for-buck food in the whole Alpha Centuri. He even took to taking pictures of his bleeping lunch to illustrate the point. So i'm obligated to help him tell everyone how incredibly good that place is since he helped me with the FMB.

See this lunch? It's only $6 ! Owned man !.... ....

making eclairs

Yesterday i made eclairs.
Why?
Cos, i've never baked anything in my life before and its also one of my
holiday resolutions.
In fact, i found that you can make these pastries in 3 easy steps.
STEP 1 ! : Get a recipe. See all that ingredients? Good. Mix them. Mix them ALOT

sunday dinner

Had dinner with my family and relatives at Chinese Swimming Club on Sunday.
We had to split into 2 tables cos we were too big a group, and it was sunday.
I had ice cream & brownies for dessert. Which is absolutely awesome cos if it were my parents ordering, i'd
never get brownies for dessert.

My aunt remarks that i should eat more (brownies & such) cos it's good for my health. I
totally agree with her & would also like to add that they (brownies & such) are an impeccable cure for gastric and anorexia in which they should be served in truckloads and topped with nuts and m&ms and hershey kisses. mmmmmmm..

After dinner, we played that football thingy in the arcade.
I'm not inside cos the guys had all hogged the game while the miscellaneous ppl stood around and tried not to think "oink".

Oh and their last game is never the last. Once a game is done, some over-excitable player would yell " last game! last game! " and attempt to wring his wallet dry.

I went to sim lim and a bunch of other places yesterday! With Feng ling and Meishan.
Argh.... walked so much when i came back home i rolled down the stairs and slept at the landing...

just joking

We've bought a present for Pris already, and bought the com monitor for FL, which is so (pant) HEAVY!
We ate paper prata at lunch. Very delicious.... mmmm..... but frikk'n hard to eat. They should call it volcano haunted house or something, cos it looks like a volcano but eats like flaking paint! Seriously, it takes so much work to eat it cleanly we'd lose weight eating it.

But it was really nice. Eat it when you have all the time in the world. You don't? Well, there is always smashing the whole thing and mixing the bits in your curry for a prata stew.

little crumbs

Something i drew cos i'm so bored.

Nicked the style from van i think.......... Why? Cos she's a great designer and all great designers deserve to be copied....

And tim burton is a cool guy too.

That pink mush on the floor is a bird --- can you see it?
